Meo read us her poem as we finished our lunch, what a great way to end a wonderful event!
Her peom is published here with permission from Meo
One of Life s Rewards
Isn t it great that when we get old
We can do what we want .. Not what were told?
We can wear our jammies all day long
Not take a shower .. We can sing our own song
We can curl our hair Or maybe not
How to apply makeup? I m afraid I ve forgot.
We can skip down the food isle If that s what we choose
Never mind if others Think we re sippen booze
And& we can make a doll. That s best of all.
Who cares if it s silly Or if it wants to be red.
It s not the doll. But what is said. For a statement we ll make
A statement bout life .. Bout how we ve come through it
The joy and the strife So, come join the fun
You can be one .. To make one that is silly
Or make one that is red Cause remember what's said?
"When we get old, We can do as we want,
Not what we're told."

Meo Feroy showed us how to sculpt a head using kits provided by the Dollings@Stanwood Club.
She did a fantastic job instructing our large group.

Calling the lucky winners of all the wonderful door prizes that were donated by many online and 'storefront' vendors and friends
